🇵🇭 This 2-day, 1-night experience ~ staying in a cozy cabin and cycling from Matsuida to Karuizawa, completely surpassed my expectations. The cabin was beautifully nestled in the woods, peaceful and relaxing, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. What truly made the trip special was the host. Incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and generous ✨ Their warm hospitality really made us feel welcomed from start to finish. On day two, the cycling route through Usui Pass was the perfect mix of challenge, scenery, and serenity. Every moment felt refreshing and memorable. A heartfelt thank you to our host for making this such a smooth and fulfilling escape. Highly recommended for anyone looking to reconnect with nature and themselves.💖
🇪🇸 The experience was LOVELY. One of the best I had in Japan. I love to spend time with local people that shows you around their area. All the spots were amazing and the landscape beautiful! I loved the accomodation super cozy and the bike tour was amazing. The bikes super smooth I could have gone much further away. I loved the itinerary and all the Edo period spots. I will be back for sure!
It was a very nice experience, highly recommend it
🇻🇳 After 2 days and 1 night in super chill Gunma, I’m still not over it even after getting back to Tokyo—but I have to recommend this spot to all my 500 nature- and tree-loving friends 😎. This trip I drove to Gunma and stayed overnight at a place called Yashiro no Mori. Instead of a regular hotel, I stayed in a really cute trailer—it felt just like one of those American road trips you see in movies. Each trailer can fit 2–4 people, so the price works out to be super reasonable. If you want something cozier and a bit more upscale, they also have cottages. The first night we bought groceries from a nearby supermarket and had a BBQ. The next morning, our super sweet Japanese host took us cycling through thousand-year-old roads and into gorgeous forests 🌿🚴♀️. Gunma is cooler than Tokyo and has special landmarks like Usui Pass, the historic Megane Bridge, and stunning seasonal mountain scenery. Around where I stayed, there were lots of cute cafés and restaurants in traditional Japanese houses. It was honestly such a refreshing way to experience rural Japan and recharge after busy days—completely different from Tokyo or the usual crowded tourist spots. The place is also quite close to other famous attractions in Gunma, like Tomioka Silk Mill and Isobe Onsen, so it’s perfect for road-tripping 🚗. I’ll just drop the link here because the Japanese host was so adorable—please support him if you can :)) You can even bring your dog since the place is huge and there’s plenty of space for them to run around.
🇬🇧 The experience was relaxing and a great opportunity to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, Yamada San was also very accommodating and passionate in showing us around the area and recommending us things to do.
