Our Property
Set within a vast 5,000-tsubo (approx. 4 acres) forest, only five buildings are scattered across this nature-rich space. All buildings have direct access to a dedicated dog garden! We also have two public grass dog runs plus two public dirt dog runs (free for guests only).
The Satoyama is the buffer zone between human life and the wild. For centuries, the Japanese have utilized the Satoyama for their livelihood. We hope to help people rediscover and make use of this land. By carefully tending to the blessings of the Satoyama and maintaining it as a forest, it has gradually begun to show its abundant beauty.

■ Casual Style
Three cabins for enjoying the outdoors with ease.
Casual Cottage: A perfect entry-level option with a twin bed and two sofa beds.
American 37F: Features a spacious wood deck with a large grill. It has a double bed, a sofa bed, and a separate single room.
Coachman: A classic trailer home designed for outdoor enthusiasts. The third and fourth guests will sleep on a bunk bed with sleeping bags, making for a true outdoor experience.
Bonfire Pit
We have created a dedicated bonfire pit. It's limited to one group per day and reservations are available. This was a popular request, so we've provided a safe place for bonfires in a corner of the dog run.
Please note that use may be restricted depending on wind or other conditions. For this reason, payment must be made in cash on-site. We have prepared a special grill that keeps the fire from spreading, even with a little wind. The cost is ¥3,000-, which includes one bundle of firewood. Additional firewood is +¥500-. You can also try batoning (splitting wood).
Note: Bonfires are still strictly prohibited in the private gardens. We apologize, but this is a necessary measure to protect the forest. The forest floor is covered with a layer of dry leaves, which are meant to nourish the soil but are also a fire hazard.
Directions to Yashiro no Mori
Our route from the Matsuida-Myogi Interchange takes a loop. We highly recommend using Myogi-sanroku Art Museum as a waypoint, as this will guide you along a relatively wide road. If you choose the shortest route on Google Maps, you will be directed down a very narrow street.

Website Renewal in Progress
The one helping us with the website redesign is Milky, a cat we rescued in August 2022. She was so thin that we thought she was a girl, but after she got healthy, we found out she was a boy! She often helped us late into the night. (She passed away suddenly in November 2023. We are now experiencing pet loss for a cat.)
